Pseudo-Gaucher cells in the bone marrow of a patient with centrocytic nodular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

چکیده
torage histiocyte disorders are inborn errors of metabolism caused by enzyme deficiencies. Gaucher’s disease is the most prevalent lysosomal storage disorder, but cells indistinguishable by light microscope examination from typical Gaucher cells (pseudoGaucher cells) have been observed in many hematologic and non hematologic disorders. We report a case of centrocytic nodular non Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) in which pseudoGaucher cells were seen in bone marrow biopsy after systemic relapse.

Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Presenting with Myocardial Metastasis and Heart Failure
Although involvement of the heart by malignant lymphoma is relatively common, it is unusual to be detected premortem. We report a case of Hodgkin's lymphoma who presented with systemic signs and symptoms including abdominal distension, weakness, pallor, chills and fever, hepatosplenomegaly and generalize...
متن کاملPseudogaucher cells obscuring multiple myeloma: a case report
Gaucher-like or pseudo-Gaucher cells have been noted in a variety of conditions including acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Hodgkin's disease, thalassemia, and multiple myeloma. They have an eccentric, lobulated nucleus, foamy cytoplasm but lack the tubular inclusions seen in Gaucher cells. The pseudo-Gaucher cells have distinct appearances on electron microscopy which distinguish them from true Ga...
متن کاملEye Lymphoma: a Case Report
Non Hodgkin Lymphomas (NHL) are nodal or extra nodal monoclonal infiltrations by malignant lymphoid cells (B Lymphocytes in 80% of cases), which are distinguished as indolent or aggressive forms. According to the heterogeneity of lymphoid cells and their ubiquitous anatomical distribution, these disorders can develop in any organ and have very heterogeneous clinical expressions, but they are...
متن کاملThe Comparison Between Microwave and Autoclave as Antigen Retrieval Methods for Immunohistochemical Detection of CD15 and CD30 in Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Background and Objective: Hodgkin's lymphoma is a potentially curable hematologic malignancy with difficulty in its diagnosis especially in atypical cases even in expert hands. Today, immunohistochemistry plays a significant role in the diagnosis of it especially applying the anti-CD15 and anti-CD30 antibodies. The negativity of CD15 can be reduced by antigen retrieval for meth...
متن کاملCASE STUDY Hodgkin and Reed-Sternberg cells in bone marrow aspirations of a patient with advanced classical Hodgkin lymphoma
INTRODUCTION Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL) is a group of lymphomas of mainly nodal origin with similar clinical and histological features (1). HL encompasses 95% of classical Hodgkin lymphomas (CHL) and the rest are of nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL). These two entities differ in their aetiology, clinical features, histopathological features, immunophenotype and molecular geneti...
